Fred Homer is a licensed bird rehabilitator in southern Vermont. For over 40 years, he has given sick and injured birds, from the smallest song bird to the most formidilbe raptor a sanctuary to heal. Along the way, he has forged friendships, educated people of all ages and walks of life, and shared captivating stories of his adventures with birds.

Fred Homer is best known for his work as an avian rehabilitator but he is also an artist, blacksmith,woodworker, musician and storyteller. This work includes a lifetime of Fred Homer’s own writing and stories, along with stories and images from those whose lives he has touched.

Got mice?! Fred will take them off your hands. They should be trapped and stored in the freezer until they can be delivered to Fred. Please do not bring any mice if mouse poison has ever been used in the area.
